Sustainability
At Farrah's, we are incorporating eco-friendly practices into every aspect
of our business. We are looking forward, and continue to make steps to
show our commitment to increasing the sustainability of our products year
upon year.
Improving sustainability is a key element
of our operation. We have invested in
machinery that allows us to re-use 50% of
our waste cardboard, the rest being recycled
locally. Our commitment is evident from
the changes that we are making across multiple
ranges. All boxes and bags produced on site
are now using biodegradable film. We have
also introduced directly printed boxes that
require no film at all.
As well as making improvements to our
packaging, we are also focusing on the
environmental attributes of the products
themselves. As an example, our tea and milk
chocolate are now Rainforest Alliance certified,
showing our dedication to offering sustainable
product options.
Product Attributes
We understand that dietary requirements
are important to our customers. We have
communicated these with the symbols
detailed here, highlighting if the product is
classified as Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free
and the Palm Oil status*.
We recognise our customers desire for
Responsibly Sourced Palm Oil, and
all our suppliers have committed to
this going forward. We also continue
to introduce additional ranges that
are Palm Oil Free wherever possible.
